Would you rather go to study UAL Art and Design Foundation diploma and reapply or go to the university that wasn`t your first choice? I`m an international student so I feel like I could have made a better portfolio, so now I wonder if I should try again
I would make a physical list of pros and cons of your different options and decide from there. Sometimes seeing it in front of you can make things a lot easier to process and end with you making an informed decision. Hope this helps!

From my experience I really enjoyed the foundation course. I found it really helped me build a portfolio, learn lots of new skills and gain a better idea of what I enjoyed. It is also a good to get you ready for the workload at university and creates a nice bridge between your previous education and university. Plus it is another qualification.
Of course you also have to consider finance and other factors so I think making a pro's and con's list like the other user said is a really good idea. I just thought I would share my experience, hope it helps.
Good luck making your decision -Grace (Kingston Rep)
It's worth saying that unless you're doing Fashion at CSM, UAL degrees aren't better or more prestigious than many other degree courses in the UK (and indeed in London). UAL has a brilliant reputation (particularly abroad) because of it's position in one league table and the size of it's marketing budget, but the courses aren't worth an extra year of study if you think you're ready to start a degree.

Hi there, it's a very personal decision. It depends on your financial situation, which course it is that you were accepted to and which course it is that is your first choice. Some courses are way more competitive than others but this doesn't mean necessarily that they are better. I'd be interested to hear which courses you're considering and aiming for. I think also if you feel you could have made a better portfolio you may feel you've not achieved all that you wanted. Happy to talk more if wish to give more info.
