Extremely sorry to be posting such an unrelated reply - but do you by any chance do Edexcel GCSE Spanish? I'm in Yr 10 with imminent mocks & have a few questions apropos the speaking segment. No worries if not - wishing you all the best & hope you enjoy your well-deserved study-free Summer break.

i mean its really great to have fun and relax during the summer, but if you're really looking for something to do then you could start uni prep cuz you'll definitely be more busy in yr 12-13 and getting a head start on uni apps are great

Thank you. For speaking, did you say a lot for each question in the general conversation? My teacher recommends 5 sentences for each but I'm not quite sure how long he wants them, or if that's feasible at this point (I stupidly left it till 4 days prior). Here's an example of a question I drafted:

¿Qué planes tienes con tus amigos este fin de semana?

Estoy en las nubes así que me gustaría viajar al extranjero, pero estoy sin un duro y no pienso que sea posible. Si tuviera más dinero, viajaría por todo el mundo con amigos. No obstante, vamos a descubrir el museo por dos horas. Lo mejor sería si comía muchos helados después, pero espero no estar más perdido que un pulpo en un garaje teniendo en cuenta que los museos son grandes.

and here's another...

1.

If I did all my questions using the second answer as a model, would that be sufficient? Or too short - meaning i'd have to do everything like the first. Or, would you recommend a couple question short, others long? Really sorry for bothering you in the midst of your exams. Even a sentence perhaps providing a little clarification would be greatly appreciated.

In my year 10 mocks my answers were usually short and I did not see myself above a grade 8.
However in my year 11 mocks, my answers were longer, but occasinally my teacher had to prompt me with "algo mas?" this counts as teacher support and she did mention that if she did this, she would undoubtedly have to remove some marks no matter how good our answer
Nevertheless I got 66/70 on my mocks, and the 4 marks I lost were solely (i think) because of her repeating algo mas.

In my exams a few months ago, I continued speaking until my teacher told me to move on. They have a duty to check te time and ensure there is enough time for every question. So my best advice is to keep talking until they stop you. Waffle anything, and talk slowly, ensuring you have good structures in place.

She never prompted me or said algo mas, so hopefully i get good marks x hope this helps

Thank you very much. That's reassuring - given my limited time to prepare, I think I may just prepare a sentence or two for each question, with some occasionally longer answers, but keep talking regardless until I get told to move on. That way, I'm not completely blank for anything but I can still aim for good marks. Really appreciate the reply. Hope you achieve what you are aiming for in the real thing - & congratulations on your venerable mock results.

idk wt its like for edexcel but i wouldn't so much focus on how much ur saying more the quality of it.
I got very close to full marks because I put at least 3 tenses + an opinion in every response, so you are ticking every box on the mark scheme.
Also use subjunctive a lot as well it gets u loads of marks

I felt a bit useless once I'd finished GCSEs it's a bit weird going from being extremely busy to doing nothing. I soon got over it though and learned to relax. Maybe get a job too? Like nothing that's too hard work but you have 3 months so you can earn quiet a bit and fund your festivals a bit...

tbf i already have a job that i started in yr 11, and he's said i can get it back after exams (cos I had to stop for a couple months to revise) but we r only in the country for like 3 weeks before I go on holiday to Sri Lanka for a few weeks. The only problem is when we r in Sri Lanka our parents have loads of friends and stuff but there isn't anything for us to rly do thats why i get rly bored

omg, that's literally me. I have a few holidays planned for about 4 weeks, which is really exciting, but afterwards, idk what to do, and I get bored so easy
I hate spending time on my phone, but all my friends are likely to be away for the 4 weeks I'm here.
I might ask my mum if we can go camping but she's busy with work
4 weeks isn't really long enough to get a job or volunteer, plus I do want a little bit of time to relax, not just 4 weeks of straight working.
Everyone's said to join those online hangout groups. I've never done it, but they seem terrifying they'd be fine if knew someone, but still, ahh
like I said all my friends are away and all my friends that I know but not super close w have loads of friends and have plans every single day already - I was planning on asking them but like yeah.

I just want to have one of those summers that are so busy but I don't think I can
