i managed to predict 4/5 of the topics for the philosophy paper but DO NOT take my word for everything i say now bcus u never know!!
i predict the following:

divine command theory (high chances only came in 2019)

concepts of free will with reference to pelagius (hasnt come up yet)

concepts of libertarianism (came up once 2018) OR concepts of predestination

natural law with reference to laws and precepts

rule utilitarianism (theres a pattern for this coming but may not)

THESE ARE MY MAIN PREDICTIONS, however go over as much as possible bcus u NEVER KNOW (esp with eduqas)

also I feel like ethical naturalismmm

I’m just focusing on the applications bc these still could be asked (Finnis to capital punishment and Proportionalism to immigration) but its very unlikely to be asked as a compulsory question so I’m not worrying too much

putting only two days between the papers wasn't very ethical of eduqas

I think they should take their own advice from their 70 page spec

I’m not sure to be honest but I saw someone else say these topics haven’t come up in a while:
Ethics:
•Divine Command Theory
•Ethical Egoism
•Meta-ethics: Naturalism
•Situation Ethics (including applied to abortion and euthanasia)
•Predestination - Augustine and Calvin
•Implications of Free Will and Libertarianism on moral responsibility and religious belief
Philosophy
•New Atheism
•Characteristics of Religious Experience (James, Otto)
•Challenges to Religious Experience (David
•Definition of Miracles by Aquinas, Hume, Holland, and Swinburne
•Inherent Problems of Religious Language
•Religious Language as Analogical (Aquinas, Ramsey)
•Religious Language as Mythical
•Religious Language as a Language Game (Wittgenstein)
But there is so much content and it could probably be anything
these philosphy predictions were bang on! im most definitely going to use the list to revise from for ethics revision xx

i think its more likely to be pelagius but you never know unfortunately. i would focus on pelagius in that topic and just do a little bit on arminius

Reply 375

What do you think about concepts of libertarianism I feel like it’s just so much to cover can someone summarise it?

They can ask both in the same question I remember they did it with Augustine and Calvin

icl im only learning laws and precepts because they havent asked about it yet

Reply 379

section a is probably either gonna be theme 2 or 3

for philosophy most of us thought it was gonna be 3 but it was 2 even though they did it last year so 😭🙏
