Oh wow, good luck with that! Islam is usually a good paper but I’m looking at the year 2 content and I don’t understand a lot of it lol

I'm doing Buddhism, and I've just looked at the mark scheme for the 30 markers, and they say we need to use scholarly views in our essay. Is this absouletly necessary? I've never used scholars in my 30 markers, and have been getting B's. Will the examiner limit the mark I can get if i don't use a scholar? I'm already struggling with the content, so don't want to have to learn scholars unless its vital.

Scholars views are recommended as they show that high depth of knowledge and it’s always good to do it because you don’t know if the examiner marking your paper will be harsh and deduct marks from your essay which can prevent you from achieving the high grades

I’m not sure to be honest but I saw someone else say these topics haven’t come up in a while:
Ethics:
•Divine Command Theory
•Ethical Egoism
•Meta-ethics: Naturalism
•Situation Ethics (including applied to abortion and euthanasia)
•Predestination - Augustine and Calvin
•Implications of Free Will and Libertarianism on moral responsibility and religious belief
Philosophy
•New Atheism
•Characteristics of Religious Experience (James, Otto)
•Challenges to Religious Experience (David
•Definition of Miracles by Aquinas, Hume, Holland, and Swinburne
•Inherent Problems of Religious Language
•Religious Language as Analogical (Aquinas, Ramsey)
•Religious Language as Mythical
•Religious Language as a Language Game (Wittgenstein)
But there is so much content and it could probably be anything

I’m doing Christianity for RS too and this is pretty much what my teacher predicted. But one key thing to mention that she did go on a training course recently for being an examiner and they left a very big hint that religious language for philosophy and key moral principles for Christianity is highly likely to come up.

Yeah my teacher said he came up quite a few times so she doubts he will come up, but definitely revise Freud as I don’t think he has come up for a while

Is anyone else doing rs and history? I don’t know quite how I’m going to manage my revision in between as we don’t have study leave at my sixth form. Any suggestions for what I should do?

hey were there any other predictions for Christianity

I feel like this exam board is kinda predictable especially compared to AQA. I went through all the papers for Islam and pretty much every 30 marker that has ever been asked is at the bottom of the specification after each half theme. They just reword them ever so slightly in the exam.
