Nottingham trent university or Coventry University?

I've got an offer from both Uni. My course for Nottingham Trent is Economics with International Finance and Banking and Coventry is Financial Economics. I want to know which university would be better and have a better reputation.

Hey there Anon, Coventry University Student Ambassador here! 👋

Well done on securing those offers 🎉
Coventry is currently in the Top 5 UK Student Cities index and is also a joint top modern university for career prospects. Financial Economics BSc is a great course to start building industry skills. You can take advantage of our Bloomberg Trading Floor (one of the largest academic trading floors in Europe) as well as the opportunity to gain the Bloomberg Market Concepts certificate! You will be able to get hands-on experience with market-leading quantitative and statistical software, access additional maths support with our sigma Maths and Stats Support team, and benefit from the Talent Team, who specialize in supporting you through job applications and career goals.

Coventry University has many networking opportunities listed on the events page. I've personally had the chance to meet employers in financial technology sectors, including Bloomberg and Deloitte, and that's as a Software Engineering student. I can imagine many more opportunities as a Financial Economics student. This course can lead to potential career options such as Consultant, Business Analyst, Junior Trader, or Buyer. There is also room to grow within our Coventry Business School with our Finance MSc or Accounting and Financial Management MSc.

I highly recommend visiting us on an Open Day, where you can get a feel for student life here as well as meet the lecturers, ambassadors like us, and supporting staff! Hope this gives some insight 😄

Hello! Thank you for replying, I think I made my choice to study at NTU, but I also have a few more questions:
- My course starts on 16 September, but I have to come back to my home country to take my national exam on 8-9 October, so is it possible for me to miss class for a week and how should I tell the school?
- What is it like for an international student?
- Which accommodations should I book?
- What should I expect when I'm there?
