How to go from a B to an A on PAPER 1 Chemistry AQA A level

I really need to get an A in my AQA A-level chemistry exam. I have 1 week left till paper 1. I have been getting Bs on the past papers.
I desperately need advice, does anyone know what I could do maybe? Or focus on? Or a plan?
Thank you so much.
I am pretty good on high yield calculations/questions, (acid-bases/Kp/Ka/calculating speed of ion in mass spectrometry) + learnt all transition metals + Period 3 element stuff it's the one markers that trip me up.

hi, i take chemistry too! (same board aswell). for me the hardest topics are the inorganic stuff and my advice is know your ****. learn every colour, learn every equation, know what catalysts are what, what auto catalysis is, what colour the period 3 metal aqua ions are, what ph of sulfuric/sulfurous acid are from the equations with water. i would say calculations are easy and possible to bs in the exam and physical chem is easier in understanding as most topics were done in y12 but inorganic questions are usually those awful one markers. i was stuck on an A in past papers for the longest time and it bugged me so bad that i couldn’t get top marks because i kept doing awfully on every inorganic question/ equation question. i would say make the time to learn it and memorise everything (may take longer than you think) and i would recommend blurting so it sticks in your mind! watching videos is also a huge help, organic chem tutor and allery chemistry are my personal faves. if you lock in and get the content in your head all you have to do is say a prayer on exam day and you should get an a. good luck!

thank you so much! I started making notes for inorganic chem from chemrevise in April and learning them in may but I was rereading my revision guide this afternoon (I was so desperate about everything I thought it might help because I usually only use Anki) and it did help some stuff to click in my brain (especially since it has lots of diagrams) now I am going to focus on inorganic learning equations that are in the revision guide and get asked often and pray for the best next week!

Good luck to you too we got this

PAST PAPWRS GIRL JUST KEEEPPPPP doing questions over and over and write down every single question you get wrong and repeat oh also watch the exams made easy guy he has a few vids on TM stuff that I found really helpful I made notes on his vids I’m taking my exams too and electrochemical potential is my hardest thing ever but just keep doing questions and practice and practice and then pray and hope for the best

thank you!!
I still have two/three past papers left to practice and I found this old spec textbook that I read almost back to back making notes and that really helped me to find gaps in my knowledge (it's kinda like a Jim Clarks textbook but for everything)

So I made notes for all topics that come up on paper 1 and learnt so much because everything I was getting wrong in the past papers suddenly made sense. I am going to do the 2017 practice paper this evening and see how it goes.
