Is anyone else worried they will miss their offer?

I have a contextual offer for Durham (AAB) and I’ve already had my raw mark for art back (A*) though I’m worried I’ll score A*BB. What are the chances they will accept this?
I’m probably overthinking it, it’s just that, with English exams, it’s very difficult to predict how they went.

Durham isnt known for being flexible. The chances are they will reject you but only they can say and might well not know until all the results are known in August. All you can do is hope.

Hi there

I know marks are hard to predict so it really would be futile to think about them right now. If you narrowly miss your offer, you might still have a chance of being accepted depending on how many places are available (some people miss their offer by large margins, others only insure Durham, so there might be places). Neither you nor the university will know about this for sure until results day so you can just hope for the best. Good luck

I’m honestly so worried too. I have an AAB offer and I’m predicted triple A but I don’t think my maths exam went well. I also do eng lit, and with the extremely subjective nature of the course I understand your worry when it comes to scoring an A…

If it helps in any way, I’m a current durham engineering student (just finished my first year) and I was predicted A*A*AA with the second A in AS further maths, my offer for Durham was A*AA and I achieved A*AAB (the second A was still in AS further maths, so my a level results on their own were A*AB which is a grade below my offer)
I know a couple of people who had the same thing happen to them so I do think so called ‘near miss’ places can be something to sooth your mind!

The wait for results is hard. Stay positive, it's easy to talk yourself into expecting poor results.

If it is reassuring in any way, my daughter *just* missed her offer (International Baccalaureate), her UCAS updated yesterday to "confirmed" - so even if you miss an A level grade, stay positive, they will still accept people who miss offers.

Lastly - good luck for the 15th!
