Software Eng requires maths A-level and T-level?

Hi, a friend is taking a T-level, but has noticed in the entry requirements for software engineering (https://www.southampton.ac.uk/courses/software-engineering-degree-beng#entry) suggest needing an A in maths A-level as well. We both thought that T-levels and A-levels are usually mutually exclusive, would they be expected to take A-level maths as well?
2026 or 2027 entry.
Thanks for any information!

it's best to contact the admissions department for that course since they'll have the clearest picture on the entry requirements for their course

Yeah I guess that's a good idea. I was hoping a rep or someone on that course would see but I guess that's a bit much to hope for at 6pm on a Friday evening! Thanks anyway ^^
Hi @Icy Wolf

Yes it does mean A in Maths A level also.

I recommend contacting admissions who will be able to give you further advice. The email for contacting admissions for Engineering is [email protected]. Alternatively, you can contact them by phone: +44 (0)23 8059 4732.
