A level

I am unsure whether to pick a level law, business and biology or law, business and chemistry.
I like both subjects and have similar grades in both but I am unsure which to choose.

As a student of both I would suggest chem over bio any day of the week cus chemistry I find more fun practical-wise, although it does depend what exam board you are with, if you have a choice over an OCR course and an AQA course, choose OCR. AQA questions can straight up suck my ass.

Overall though, it doesnt matter which you choose, theyre both a BIG challenge at the end of the day being some of the top most difficult A-Levels (but all A-Levels are difficult anyways) but they both reap BIG opportunities in career and experience.

I'll list some of the things you can expect with each course down below (NB: My courses are AQA Biology and OCR A Chemistry)

BIOLOGY:

Year 12 deceptively easy, Year 13 horrendously awful

Questions suck major balls (You gotta learn the wording EARLY)

Once you got your head around the more difficult concepts its actually quite interesting

Practicals are kind of boring icl (Idk abt your school but my science department has messed up a lot of practicals meaning we never got actual valid results)

You do get a bit of everything in the course which leads to a variety of different pathways in career or F.E.

Kind of just a memory game but with some difficult application questions in the exam (Opinions vary but I think this is kinda good)

A lot of the questions are repeated principles (e.g., enzyme action comes up very commonly in papers)

BIG ASS ESSAY NOT GOOD NO LIKEY ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ 👿 😢

CHEMISTRY:

THE GOD OF ALL SUBJECT MY SWEET CHEMISTRY I LOVE YOU

Theory is horrendous to understand but once you got your head around it questions become relatively simple to answer

The only subject in which you could accidentally make an "F of I 80" rated explosive (TNT)

Practicals are really fun to do with classmates, they're kind of just magic experiments except none of your class are magicians and you have no idea why what just happened happened

You gotta memorise a big map of like 30 reactions AND their conditions which really sucks and I don't like doing it.

Hope this helps you at least inform a decision, good luck 🙂
