Essex Uni Interview Tomorrow

Hey people.
I have got an interview at Essex Uni tomorrow for Politics and just wondered if anyone had any good tips or is having an interview there tomorrow.

Thanks for that.
The only thing is I received a letter saying to dress informally and that there was no need to dress smartly however i will probably wear smart jeans, smart shirt,etc

I had an interview a week and a half ago at essex for History, smart jeans and top sounds good, when i went everyone was casually dressed. Make sure you know your UCAS statement inside out because my interviewer was constantly refering to mine. Apart from that just be yourself and don't worry too much everyone tries to make you as comfortable as possible so just be yourself. Good Luck x x

Hi.

Had my interview today for IR in the Department of Government. I had to wait until last, which kind of sucked, but the guy who interviewed didn't particularly ask me much .. or really anything at all. He was simply asking me if I had any questions. So, I'm not sure if it went well or really bad.

Got to say though, I knew before hand how great the department was, and the visit really reinforced that belief. The staff seemed genuinely friendly and decent, unlike some other Uni's I've had a look at.

my interview is on the 17th of feb. (history) i need to confirm it though. anybody else going on that day ? and i was just planning on wearing jeans a t-shirt (not scruffy stuff, but i thought a shirt would be a bit over kill- especially when they say dress informally.)

Got my interview tomorrow for Politics (L200) at Colchester.... kind of excited.. think Essex might be my top choice now having taken a closer look at the course. Looking forward to looking at the campus and meeting people, just pretty nervous about the interview.

yeaaah biomed interview 2 weeks today...not looking forward to it but its not got any biology questions in it..probs just gonna be based around PS i guess....anyone know what its gonna be like.

its informal so your letter should say, so they may ask if you like the uni or maybe why biomed, they will have your ps and talk about it

hey guys i had an interview.. the other day...
it was really laid back.. the interviewer said he hadn’t even read over my personal statement, and just browsed through it n saw that I wrote about America.. Moving towards a more state funded health system.. And we just talked about that.. And how whether the NHS should be put in the hands if the private sector.. Etc..
Wasn’t as nerve-racking as I thought it was going to be.. and to top it of.. The interviewer was really impressed that I did Maths for A-level and said.. I’m not going to waste your time,. You’re probably going to get an offer anyway...

I was well chuffed.. loool
So yh its not as bad as you thing, although I no some other people that got interview and they said.. There interviewer grilled them.. So I suppose it depends on your interviewer...

Iv'e applied to do Econ and Pol and have an interview on the 24th Feb in the politics department. I was just wondering if u had an interview with the politcs department only, or both of them? Also wondering what type of questions they asked?
