Writing a band 4/5 english essay?

Hi, I'm in Year 12 and i've got my predicted grade exams coming up. My practice essays on Othello and Gatsby are coming back with Band 2/3. Feedback from the teacher includes embedding AO2 and 'link point to why you believe this' and I'm really confused. I have the relevant knowledge I just cant embed it in the essays as I'd like to, especially the AO2- idk what to add for AO2. Help would be greatly appreciated.
