Trig question

Here is the question. I am stuck on part bi and the answer is 3.34. My answer for part a is 5cos(x-0.322). For part bi, since they are asking for the minimum value of theta, I thought that it would just be 6.5+5(-1) as the cos graph has a minimum point at -1. Some help would be great!

You've made a careless mistake in part a which has carried through I think, the value of R is sqrt(3^2+1^2) which isn't 5. From here your method is right for part b but you just need to adjust your value of R. From here you need to be careful that you properly work out what x from part a translates to in the model equation and you shouldn't have any problems with the rest of it.
