Hi @Sevda123, my name is Susannah and I'm a 2nd year Psychology with Criminology student at ARU Cambridge, and I am also an Emloyability Activator.

The first thing I recommend when looking for relevent jobs is checking the announcements on the Psychology Employability page on Canvas. They post regulalrly and most of the jobs are Cambridge based and use skills relevant to Psychology. If you do not have access to this, I suggest emailing your PDT or course leader to get this sorted.

Secondly, I would recommend joining ARU Temps. This is where you can get jobs throughout your time at ARU that are flexible around your studies and allow you to build soft skills (skills used in every job - such as teamwork, communication, etc.). They also advertise summer internships every year. Unfortunately, most of these are now closed for this year but there will be more opportunities next year.

Thirdly, I would recommend taking a look at our faculty page on the Careers Centre (https://www.abintegro.com/members). From the home page, click on the tile that says 'Pursuing Your Goals'. From there, there will be a section about faculty pages under the heading 'Do Your Research'. Click on the link provided and then scroll down the page and click on 'Science and Engineering'. You will then be able to find the link to the Psychology Page.

Finally, I would recommend booking a careers appointment with the employability team. The employability member for Psychology is Magda. You can book an appointment either through Handshake (https://app.joinhandshake.co.uk/login). When booking the appointment, I suggest you click on 'Employability Support', then 'Job Search and Work Experience Support'. You then just have to choose a time and method that suits you.

Alternatively, or if you have any trouble, you can visit a member of the employability team on the 1st floor of LAB building at a desk next to the ARU Temps office between 11am-2pm every week day.

I hope this helps 🙂
