a lot of people are around that age anywayYou still have a good few years before you age out so the join, it's completely worth it in every way
The latest you can join by is before your 17th birthday, so join quickly to get the maximum benefits from it

I literally joined in january, im 16 and i age out next year. But boy have i learnt so much and ive been on company weekends and get my kit this week! (army cadets)
hi there, I joined air cadets at 14/15 as well and now I’m turning 18 in august. you are not too old at all, and you can defo gain so so much experience and do so much + if your worry is getting stuck with people younger than you don’t think abt it bc there are going to be already present people & new ppl join all the time. plus when u go on events you’ll meet a million ppl ur age so don’t let that stop u !!

I joined the air cadets at 16. Loved it. Most people are 14/15 anyway, in my experience there weren't that many 12/13 yr olds and there were lots of 16-17yr olds. Obviously the army cadets could be different.But you're basically the ideal age!
