Someone please help I’m aiming for a 7 or 8 but Elizabeth is really what brings my grade down to a 6 each set of mocks

So someone please help I honestly don’t know anything and idk how I can learn it all without neglecting my other subjects.

for elizabeth, the first thing u wanna do is make sure u know drake rly rly well, cos if u can get it good, then thats a 16 marker sorted which is the main thing...
is it the content or the essays that ur worried abt?

i find that a a last minute way to cram is to find tons of exam questions, and plan answers to them, cos ur having to think abt the knowledge and apply it, and if u dont know the topic its on u then go learn just that topic... u feel like ur getting more done instead of just midlessly going thru the textbook, and ur figuring out how to use the information u have to answer the question, and ur forced to recall information and if u dont know said info, it gives u what to learn

Mainly the content… I don’t know enough contextual knowledge for each topic if that makes sense and for some topics I feel like I don’t know anything at all

so yeh i think what cld be helpful is to look thru past questions on different topics, and try to plan answers to them. it will show u what topics u know and which ones u need to work on more, then u just go learn that.
abt how to learn for them, idk if this works for u but find a good podcast (there r a couple on spotify) and listen, and write notes on what theyre saying as they talk- dont just copy word for word, just convert what they say into brief notes, cos then ur listening (so u dont have to compile the info urself) and by writing it down, ur putting it into ur own words, and its registering properly. after that episode is finished, without looking at ur notes, go and write down what u can remember, and see which bits u need to learn more

what is important tho is that u know drake rly well, just cos u know its gonna come up, so its not wasting ur time to learn it and u can work towards a solid 16 marker

go through your books, write down a condensed list of notes. names, dates, laws passed. as small as you can get it. then memorise (i do this by repeating aloud until i dont have to look anymore). want me to share mine?

every year, there is a historic envioronment, which is what the 16 marker is gonna be abt. if u look in the textbook, throuought it there are blue pages, each one of those is a different historic environment. this year its drake and his circumnavigation. it can either be a cause, consequence or change q... something like 'the main consequences of voyages of discovery in elizabthna england was an increase of the wealth of britain. how far do you agree, support ur answer with references to drake and his circumnavigation of 1577-1580'. thats the basic layout, obviously the question is gonna be different, but its definitely gonna be on drake, which is why it pays to know it really well

Hi Oscarb, for the few years have interacted with exams and many exams have handled, I think the first thing you should do is get ready for the exam in this remaining hours. You are panicking because you haven't covered everything to take your exams and be confident of passing well. Now, my advice is, try get past questions that relate Cold War and Elizabethan England and revise them. Write your answers on your laptop. If you answer around 10 questions, revise them and read through the entire concept again, am sure you will pass highly. I wish you good luck. If you need personal encouragement, kindly reach out, otherwise goodluck.
