grades for sutton / wallington grammar sixth form

for any current students at sutton/wallington grammar, what gcse grades did you get to get into these schools, whether as an internal or external student ? cus they both seem like rlly great schools but im wondering just how high the bar is to get in (esp cus im a girl and they take in like 20 per year :/)

I know its been a year, and everything worked out one way or another, but just for anyone else looking for an answer to this:
You'll want about 3 9s as a minimum, and thats only if you're doing humanities. Though not officially stated, I have an inkling that they tend to admit lower* grade averages for humanities since they don't fill up as fast as STEM, which is pretty much packed from just the internals themselves. I personally got in with 8 9s overall, but only 6 of them counted towards my application, they have specific subjects they consider, so I got 70/72 possible points, but on average, 5 counting 9s should be a really good chance of getting in.

*3 9s is nothing to scoff at, its really good, but there are of course very limited seats for externals (I think they took in 60 total this year), so you will be ranked by your grades. As for the humanities thing, I got rejected by Tiffin's since I was doing STEM subjects, and had an average of 69/72, while I know people who got in to Humanities courses with lower point scores.

yes i'm wondering too, but a friend of a friend at sutton grammar said apparently they are trying to let in more girls this year (2026). rn im predicted five 9s -- i'll try and get more, but i'm starting to wonder whether that's enough to get in...
