Transferring from Nursing to Social Work

Hello! I am coming to the end of my first year in adult nursing and have just found it’s not for me. I have spent a lot of time with the social workers on placements and would like to look into this.

Has anyone been able to transfer at the end of first year onto second year social work? Or will I likely need to restart?

Exact same situation. I think I have to take a gap year and reapply next year because I want to go to a different uni. I would check with your uni! Nursing is hard and I found it definitely not for me either, my mums a social worker and it just appealed to me more. Good luck!

You will need to do the whole Social Work degree from Year 1 - its a statutory requirement.

The course at Bath Uni is still accepting applicants and is likely to be in 2024 Clearing - Social work courses (bath.ac.uk)
