Finance at glasgow uni or Strathclyde

My daughter has an offer for both Glasgow and Strathclyde for Finance and Maths. She is unsure which to go to. Is anyone doing either of these courses ? If anyone could give some advice on which one to choose ?

Hi, I go to the University of Glasgow. I don't do maths but I do life sciences and have always had a good experience.

From experience (and my sister and friends going to Strathclyde):
Student support services like student advice centres, disability service, mental health services are much better at Glasgow uni than Strathclyde. I know several students who have had problems with Strath disability and support services, but never with Uni of Glasgow.

Student societies are much better at the university of Glasgow than Strathclyde. I'm never bored on the UofG campus. Though Strathclyde is closer to the cities nightclubs because the campus is city centre. (personally though I don't notice or mind the walk back to the west end when I go clubbing)

Strathclyde sport and accomodation is better than Glasgow. Strathclyde has been undersubscribed for accomodation for years so you will defo get accomodation there. University of Glasgow though it can be a struggle getting accomodation near the campus. Competition for student flats in Glasgow is quite fierce.

Both unis have snazzy buildings. Strathclyde it's a lot easier to find a study space than the uni of Glasgow because most students in Strathclyde commute daily.

Neither uni is good for finding car parking.

Any other questions feel free to reply

Strathclyde has a much better rep for business related subjects such as Finance and maths, also has more programmes in the degree that help develop skill sets that company’s seek out in the future
