A level options for accounting

I’m thinking of taking maths, fm, physics and history for a level, however I will probably drop fm or do it for as. Would this combination be good for either an accounting and finance degree, an economics degree or a maths degree? I’m specifically thinking of applying for accounting and finance at LSE.

It is good.

State Maths A Level as the only specific subject.

Look up the entry requirements for different courses at a range of different Universities - they will all be different.

Just be aware that for all these subjects, Maths is important and some 'top' Unis may also want, or prefer, FM - especially for Economics or Maths, but others may be okay with just AS. Check carefully.

Physics is a hard a level and you dont need it for accounting, I recommend Economics instead
Physics isnt a hard a level when learning the content, it's the exams - they are so rough
Save yourself and do economics instead if you want to go into accounting

I received an offer from LSE this year for accounting and finance.Even though LSE was my dream uni, I actually didnt end up firming but instead firmed the PwC flying start degree instead as I wanted work experience integrated into my uni years as well as doing all but 3 CA exams.

My a levels were maths, chemistry and economics - I also did further maths but only for 6 months I dropped it as I felt I was falling behind in my other subjects causing my grades to fall.

I would say if youre dead set on doing AandF maybe only do 3 A-levels but focus on getting those predicted grades A/A* as this would be important for LSE. The combination isn't necessarily important aside from hacing maths. The ones you've mentioned are great, most unis have a desirable subject list so check those out.

My predicted was A*A*A , but please remember that LSE application also takes into account your PS and partually your GCSE grades. In particular your PS books, podcasts and online courses are really handy to put into it. For example in mine I mentioned listening to a podcast then this made me read this book to learn more etc.

If you need any more tips for A&F message me.
