hii. I need help with ideas i can make for engineering. it has to be something that reduces plastic or use of plastic in everyday life or something that filters plastic from rivers or seas n stuff and i'm really stuck on what to make.

Loads of stuff single use plastics are all over the place plenty of options for replacing the material (think paper cups), extending the life (i.e. reusable cups or increasing recyclability of product).

Generally the simpler the solution the better.

In my school, lots of people are making recycling bins, that crush bottles, and it can have some lights etc on there or displays for the electronic element etc.

Most people in my class are stuck as well, but most are thinking about something like a bin/ a toy that teaches kids to recycle
