Hey, I just finished my NEA for product design and did two things an architectural model of a wildlife hide and a recycling unit. I just did something I enjoyed because you are going to do a lot of work on it. The first thing I did was brain stormed lots of things I enjoyed like sports, guitar and wildlife and then thought of ideas and saw which one had the most and I would enjoy. Hope that helps

I am going to assume your at GCSE level, if so;

1. Educational toys and games
An area that I feel doesn't have enough products/services is toys/games that are accessible and can help people with various issues that they may have in their life. Such as how some individuals maybe can't interact with toys in the same way due to disabilities - mental and/or physical.

2. Supporting or participating in a sport

You could potentially look at sport equipment/care
Are existing bags for sports sufficient? - Textiles
Is there a piece of kit that could aid a coach in training, in a unique, innovative way that does not currently exist?
Is there a piece of kit that would allow more people to play a sport that otherwise couldn't because of inaccessibility?

One good idea I had is that I boulder quite a lot,However there is never a convenient way of storing my brush+shoes+tape+chalk+climb book together, maybe there could be a product to fix this if anyone else was interested in bouldering??

Another thought that I had when I first saw this is that at young children's sport matches there is rarely any scoreboards,Leaving everyone to either not know the score,constantly ask the ref, or remember. This feels like a shame and if there was a product that provided cheaphish scorekeeping that can be seen by those playing/watching a casual game would definitely be interesting

3. Eating away from home
Portable plates/bowls/mugs/sporks are decent, However onec used and dirty there is hardly a good place to store them hence are carrying dirty crockery around, maybe a product could fix this? Either By cleaning the crockery or by isolating the mess?

Everyone is welcome to my ideas,If you do end up using my suggestions then please tell me!
(On this chat or a private message)I would love to know what you got up to!

Hey sorry do you have anymore ideas for eating away from home maybe like camping ideas? I’m not really going to use it, it’s more that my teacher has asked me to make minds maps on all three challenges

educational in the sense of child development, like a toy train would help build creativity, imagination and cognitive aspects if that helps rather than education in the sense of explicit teaching. Lego, for example, is educational.

So is it more things like building blocks and puzzles rather than maths games for little children for character/ mind building and brain development.

Both work so long as you explain your interpretations
