Pensioners already pay tax... no?

Not on the state pension since it's below the tax threshold.

Basically Labour will keep the threshold frozen, Tories will increase it.

There might be a grab somewhere too on richer pensioners.

Sunak was very good on the foreign policy answer.

"Situation in Gaza is catastrophic." - Starmer on Gazans fighting for freedom
"We will accept Ukranians in the country." - Starmer on Ukranians migrating here
"I am glad Starmer is agreeing with me on the Gaza war" - Rishi

Every PM will be the same IMO. Doesnt matter who gets voted

Both are true - you have to think about inflation.

That’s a good thing as long as there’s proper negotiation in my opinion.

That's not a good thing when we have a fiscal deficit and a waiting list. What your saying in essence is that you want me (not sure of your current employment situation) to pay for above inflation salary increases.

Sunak is definitely more comfortable the last 15 minutes or so, much more polished.

Starmer is not bad but I think he's used to turn based court room stuff and looks a bit flummoxed at times. He's also going into a lot of detail which won't make the news at 10 clips or breakfast tomorrow.

Do you think that he performed best in this evening's debate?

he is talking better and probably answering the questions better. He needs more comebacks than taxes rising tho because inflation will cancel out the tax rise to an extent

Given the low salary of NHS workers they need to be paid more in my a opinion or you’ll have less workers in the NHS.

I could rant about the NHS all day but the workers aren’t paid enough.
"If you think Labour are gonna win, start saving." - Sunak

A decent soundbite there! He's definitely leaning on scaremongering about the economy under a Labour government.

No. The triple lock plus basically means the Tories will codify tax threshold increases for pensioners into law.

Labour so far will freeze the tax thresholds so more pensioners will move into paying tax.

Probably but yeah he’s got somewhat of a point on the climate change thing.

Nope I’m referring to the talking point on climate (that labour would get us to rip out our boilers and pay for more expensive alternatives).
"Teenage Dad's Army" hahaha I wondered when this would come up!
