HL history and Math?

I am in year 10, I study in uk and i have a 7/7 in history and 5/7 in further maths (would be a 7/7 in normal math) . I love history but I want to do finance with a minor in political science. Is Hl Math and History with econ to much work to the point I cant get a 40+ predicted?

hi, I'm planning on doing the exact same subjects as you (HL math AA, HL history and HL econ), and I don't think it's too much work as long as you're okay with putting in the effort. my cousin's just done her IB math AA exam and she told me she thinks she's done well and she's predicted a 7, but she studies at least 8-9 hours per week solely for math because of the sheer content and unpredictability of the past paper questions. so basically it really depends on your ability to focus and your mindset

damm math AA and history is crazy. do you think there is really that much of a difference between SL AA and HL AI? difficulty wise?

Many have succeeded with HL Math AA and HL History. So long as you are passionate about these subjects, and are willing to put in the hours to do well, you will be super happy on results day!

To study Finance and keep your options open, take either HL Math AA or AI. AA SL will not be enough.

Ok, but what if i end up doing HL math ai and HL history but end up with like a predicted of 37 or 38. Does that lower the chances of me getting into a good college especially in the US?

This is very late but I think SL AA and HL AI are relatively similar in terms of content and studying. Perhaps HL AI would be a little more (in terms of the school curriculum, 7 hours compared to 5 hours in 2 weeks of school) but roughly, if you're comparing the syllabus to cover, it seems the same to me

I was lucky because my teacher was really helpful with the topics laid out. Essays set by my teacher helped. Closer to the exam, I practised past papers. Make sure you know the facts but are also able to apply these to analyse questions such as "to what extent".
