Geography NEA investigation

Hi! I'm starting my Geography NEA atm and i am just stumped for ideas for an investigation, we're allowed to choose our own fieldwork too so i think i'm just overwhelmed with options here. If anyone could respond with some example questions that would be lovely 🥰🥰

Physical NEA is a way of ‘guaranteeing’ marks rather than a human one as it forces you to critically analyse data. Can be a bit more effort, however is then easier in write ups as you have numbers to compare rather than subjective data from human investigations - but then it does matter how you go about it

Hey, my advice from someone who just completed there. Is you have got to pick something you loved. I picked changing places and regeneration because I feel in love with the openness of the topic and you are going to spend a lot of time on it so you have got to love it. The first thing I did was look through the book and examples and thought of something for each topic like question and then went from there seeing what data I could collect if I could analysis it. But yeah, just go with your gut and make sure you enjoy it, as many people in my class found they picked topics they found boring in the end. This was my title:
To what extent did the Olympic Games regeneration programme in Stratford redefine its social, economic, and environmental status? and then for my sub-questions, I individual broke down what things I wanted to investigate in those topics.
I hope this helps and please just message me if I can help anymore, Jo.

I, like many others, covered regeneration around my local city (colchester), I actually quite enjoyed it, I picked three sample areas with different conditions (like quite a rundown area, a new area and the city centre) and then systematically sampled 10 sites from each of the above areas, where I completed environmental quality surveys, interviews etc. I also found a local reddit page for the community and posted a digital survey asking people to fill it in, ended up getting hundreds of responses so that was well worth it (do it on microsoft forms cos it gives you lots of ways to present your data, which you can screenshot and add to your investigation). Hope these ideas help, please ask more questions if not, I just got the provisional mark back and I managed 55/60 which I was super happy with, gives you a good platform going into the exams!

I have started to think about my geography NEA and what topic to do it on and this sounds like a really good idea. I was just wondering, what was the actual title of your NEA and what data did you collect at each sites and how did you compare them. Because I'm not sure if subjective topics like a cities liability is a good think to add to my NEA.
