Credit transfer help - previous dropout

So I previously dropped out in first year in 2018/19 and am debating going back to uni for the 2026/2027 academic year (a while off but want to be prepared, looking mostly at Cardiff university), I have 60 credits or 30 ECTS from previous study, can those be transferred? And if so what does this actually mean in terms of the course - I can take a couple less modules/exams? I still have to do everything but it doesnt matter if I pass?

I'm really not 100% sure how this effects things or if the modules I took are relevant at all. The course I'm looking into doing is English Language and Linguistics, and previously I was studying a joint honours in Creative Writing and Psychology. The units I have credits in are 1 creative writing - the writers workshop 68%, and 2 psychology - Introduction to Developmental and Social Psychology 69% and Individual Differences: Personality and Intelligence 69%

Any help/explanations would be greatly appreciated, also i'm a little concerned about if I have to mention this in my application proccess as for some reason in my head I thought i'd had at least one first (but I guess I was only 1/2% off annoyingly) and dont want this to reflect badly.

Email the Uni - Ask a question - Study - Cardiff University

Its unlikely that you can carry-over credits from that far back, and they may want you to restart the degree, but they are the only ones who can answer this.
