How do you overcome A-level failure?

How do you overcome failure? like failing a-levels or having to retake , how do you come to terms with it and not feel guilty or beat yourself up for it the rest of your life. How do you get your self-esteem back? and cope with falling behind compared to your peers/friends.

Hey, from someone who has struggled with there academics most of there life and been told they are stupid because they are dyslexic. Academics don't define you! Just because you cannot write an essay as well as someone else doesn't make you any less of a person. Recently I failed badly because of academics and it really ripped my confidence squished it on the floor and broke it in to a million piece but after I cried let it all out, I was able to realise that while I didn't succeed in that, I was able to move on and actually succeed in something that I wasn't expecting. Things happen for a reason and never ever compare yourself to the person standing next to you as you don't know what they are going through as well. Do things you love whether that be sport or music or something and write down all the important little success that you do everyday and you will realise that those are sometimes more important than the big things.
But I would say it would be really good to speak to someone if you are feeling really down in this way. Maybe one of your teachers or parents and they might be able to speak to you in person and make you realise that failing is all part of learning and you can do whatever you set your mind to.

After I have coped with my disappointment - my results were not good enough to pass the written exams - I decided to use the second chance in oral re-exams and passed later on. I have given up my high expectations and reduce them to the least: pass the A levels, no matter how.
