i think i screwed up history paper 2 PLS HELP

i just did my history paper 2 exam (edexcel) and i kinda messed up lmao. basically for the cold war paper there’s a 16 marker, but it’s split into 2 sections worth 8 marks and each section is on a different side in the booklet. the first section will say “cross your first option” and you write it there, and the second section says “cross your second option” and you write it there. i was going through the exam backwards and missed the “second option” part so i crossed 2 boxes in the second section and wrote the answers for both parts in that section. i realised towards the end of the exam and panicked so i asked the invigilators what to do, and they told me to just put the correct cross in each section and write “answer on the next page” in the first section. that makes sense but i’m still worried that it’ll cause a malfunction and only one of my answers will be marked since obviously one section can only receive 8 marks and i put both answers in the second section. am i cooked?? 🙏🏻
