Hi! First of all, this is a weird question and I didn’t really know where the appropriate area to post it was.
I’m 15 years old and i’ve wanted to be a commercial airline pilot for years. Most of training programs provided by flight companies I wanted to apply to require you to have one science qualification. Last year, (S4) I was unable to take biology due to certain circumstances and wasn’t cut out for the other sciences (chemistry, physics). This year I took higher biology, and was told that Id be put in a lower class if I couldn’t just crash it at higher level and I was okay with that, but I was put in a higher class and then rudely told to completely switch classes. I’m god awful at every science subject, so I don’t even know if it’s worth it trying to fight and get it back. I’ve now landed myself in an RMPS class. (It seems really stupid because you thought I would’ve said something, but I was under a lot of mental and emotional stress during this as it happened so quickly.)
Are there other ways for me to achieve being a pilot? Or is it just too late for me now? I know pilots in other countries don’t necessarily require a science qualification but it’s required pretty much everywhere I look here in the UK. Please give me advice. I have a backup plan (lawyer) but it’s a backup plan for a reason. I can’t express how much i’d like to fly.
please be nice 🫶
