Hey, from what i have researched, they are fade-resistant, which i don't think would evaporate ( if a pen is able to be rubbed out with those magic erasers on the end of a pen, the heat of the scanner could effect your work), however, just to be on the safe side, just use a ball point pen. Better safe then sorry!
