Bio,Chem,Spanish Year 12 Mock Advice

Hi everyone!

I have my year 12 mocks next week and I haven’t done as much revision as I would have liked for them due to illness and problems at school.

I do AQA for all of them. My Spanish mock will be the writing paper on Volver (the teacher hinted it may be on agustina and her relationships and something about suffering). Chemistry is a paper my teacher created with half organic and half physical.

Any advice for getting A/B last minute for these subjects from someone who has done them would be amazing!!!

I’m not confident especially for Spanish as I have all my key points for the essay in my head in English but I have to dumb them down so they fit with the vocab I know in Spanish which decreases my grade a lot. Organic chemistry is also worrying me.

Tldr: advice for last minute revision for AQA Year 12 biology, chemistry and Spanish.

omg we do the exact same alevels :redface:

but for bio and chem id say look up a longgg youtube video with all the content for the year in it and take notes on what youre not entirely clear on, i really like primrose kitten for chem and mrs estruch for bio. for spanish i have no clue as my teacher is really really bad, my grade hasnt changed all year and im super stressed about it. theres not many resources online either so if you have any tips on essays for volver i would REALLY appreciate it :smile:

Honestly I can do essays great when I have word reference and stuff but all the vocab and grammar goes out of my head completely when I need to write it on my own and i just panic. But for when I have my notes, I have a list of essay phrases (eg a mi juicio) to use loads in order to get marks for analysis and I just do the basic gcse English thing of Point Evidence Explain.

pee paragraphs is so smart idk why i didn’t think of that lol, i struggle the most with grammar as well i can’t remember how to conjugate verbs for the life of me

I’m so glad it’s not only me. Sometimes I feel stupid that I’ve been doing Spanish for years and still aren’t anywhere near fluent. I can’t tell if everyone else is in the same boat or I’m just really far behind haha

heyyyy, i also take bio chem and spanish but i also do maths as well - atm i am at an A* pretty consistently so i would say that the best thing that helped me with Volver is just essay plans - there rly is only so many things you can talk about so if you just have some quick fire plans for the main topics i think that is best! i have my mock tomorrow but i hope yours goes well for you x
