Contextual offers

Are contextual offers just based on your postcode? My postcode is not eligible for all contextual offers but I am free school meals and i receive a bursary. My parents also have universal credit.

Contextual offers differ between universities. Most go post code or poor schooling. A few look At FSM or low income families and some look at first in family to go to university.

You need to check the conditions a particular university uses for contextual offer. Google using x university contextual offers and you will find this. Some universities require 1 flag but others require 2.

As above - every Uni is different.
The criteria they use will be on their website - follow links from course pages or search as above.
It it isnt clear, or you are not sure if you qualify, just email that Uni and ask - they wont mind.

Like the other responses, there is a high degree of variance between universities. In my UCAS reference, my school detailed the fact that I was on a bursary, so if your school does the same that should provide a contextual angle of sorts.

It's a combination of factors. Most important is free school meals and therefore being on the national student database for them. First in family to go to uni, any care experience & your postcode will factor in, too.
