Does Surrey University do clearing for Law?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if Surrey did clearing for law in recent years? I understand it’s a competitive course, and Surrey is well ranked, but I found out recently that the entry requirements are ABB which I should be able to meet. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I don't see why Surrey wouldn't be in clearing. Think QMUL was last year for Law so there's a chance.

That’s good news! Yeah do you know if Surrey regularly goes into clearing for Law? Apparently it was in 2022, I’m not sure if it was last year though? Many thanks for your help btw

How would accommodation work also? Would I be likely to get accommodation if I go through clearing? This is pretty important phahaha
Hi Anon1 and @Carter03052

I'm glad to hear you're interested in studying Law at Surrey. It's a fantastic course with lots of opportunities.

I cannot guarantee that LLB Law will be available through clearing this year, but I do know it was available through clearing last year.

The Accommodation Team will give priority to clearing applicants for 2024/25 accommodation if they apply by 20th August 2024 so there is a high chance that you will be able to secure a room. However, guaranteed accommodation is only for those who have chosen Surrey as their firm or insurance choice. You can find more information about our allocation policy here.

I hope that answers your questions. Please feel free to post again if you have any more and I'll try my best to get back to you.

My son got into Surrey through clearing last year.
He was guaranteed a halls place if he submitted his application for accommodation choice by 5pm on the monday after results day. It was a tight timescale as he had to be processed through UCAS and Surrey systems but it worked out OK and he got his first choice of really nice, modern reasonably priced halls.
Obviously it could be different this year and he moved fast to get his clearing place, so probably some clearing applicants missed out.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I was wondering how likely you think it is based on previous years that Surrey would go into clearing for the Law course if that’s possible? Many thanks

Hi @Carter03052

Law has consistently been available through clearing at Surrey in the past, so there is a high possibility it may be available again this year but I cannot guarantee this. Availability will depend on several factors, such as staffing, the number of places, funding etc.

Clearing opens on UCAS on 5th July 2024, so it's worth checking. Sign up for alerts and find out more about clearing at Surrey here.
