Can I withdraw from A level exam 1 day before????????????

I basically accepted an offer for uni today, which means that I dont have to resit Biology A level anymore. Paper 1 is tomorrow, is it possible to withdraw?????? I sent an email asking but at 9pm, they will probably only see it in the morning??? It might be too late?!!?!!! I really dont want to resit anymore

Do you think there would be anything else that would prevent them from letting me withdraw? I dont need money back, idm. I just dont want to resit, and i’ve already paused my studying after this

I swear you can just not sit the exam? Like you don’t go in for the exam at all, so there is nothing to mark. I know people who did that for their gcse, they don’t get any qualifications for that subject, it’s like they never took it at all.

I heard you could get a U for that so I’m not sure. Otherwise, yeah i’ll just not go

A “U” is no qualification tho, is it not? If you have revised for the subject and it doesn’t matter anyway, then I think just go and try your best, since you put all that effort it anyway, just see what you get.

Will U be put on ur records? And no, i’m cooked for the bio. I might have to go in and lower the grade boundaries fr

I don’t think so, as a “U” is no qualification. So it’s like you never sat an a-level in the first place. (Who’s gonna know? No one’s gonna know)

“An 'advanced level' or A-level is a qualification available across a range of subjects to school-leavers graded A*-E” from the uni guide.

Who knows? F***k around and find out, maybe you’ll get an A* 🤞
A* with minimal revision would be the dream🤞
Brother I’m like cooked cooked, it’s not happening.

I slacked bcs I knew I had an unconditional I could fall back to. My dumb ass should’ve withdrew earlier, now i might be heading off to lower some grade boundaries & stress myself out

Pleasseee sit it and lower the boundaries ❤️❤️ (I don’t mean it in a rude way at all)

But if it takes time away from you focusing on other exams then don’t sit it. If not, what’s there to lose? Even an E is still a pass so it’s worth it to have the certificate

I’m afraid that U gonna pop up and affect me when i’m applying to grad schemes though🙏 Sheesh A*AA, u got it man. I initially planned to retake Bio to get A* for Medicine, then I didn’t get med offers post-interview so I gave up & settled for Accounting

I don’t think that U can do anything, if you’re applying to grad schemes i don’t think they will give a crap what you got when you were 18 and will defo focus on what you got in your university degree. You got this too bro, never back down never WHAT?

never give upp !!😮*💨
If you don't sit it I'm fairly sure you get an X rather than a U :dontknow:
However did you have the resit on your UCAS application? Technically if so then your offer is conditional on you doing the qualifications you said on your application (including the resit) and it could be withdrawn if you don't gain the qualifications you say you will.
In practicality it seems unlikely that they would do that, but I'd think it safer to sit it just in case!

Oh damn, I did have it on my application. I already sent an email to the exam centre asking to withdraw though, nahh I might have screwed up.

My achieved Biology grade do meet the entry requirement that they have listed on their course though, I might have to email them asap.

As you should have, so very sensible. Realistically given refunds arent issued for withdrawals after April then the chances are your exam centre will not have actioned any withdrawal prior to the exam tomorrow. Email now to retract it then get yourself off to bed so you get some sleep beforehand.

While it's very unlikely that they would withdraw your place if you didn't sit it, they could, whereas if you sit it then regardless of your grade they cannot. It's incredibly unlikely you will get an answer by tomorrow so it's worth sitting to avoid that scenario.
omg good luck bro !!!
