A Level Biology/Chemistry

(Predicting my grade) if I got a 6 in GCSE Biology/Chemistry with cramming, is it possible for me to get a high grade in A level Biology/Chemistry if I actually revise efficiently over time and organize myself well?

Yes.

Thanks for the response, i’ve got my results today and I smashed biology with an 8 but, as predicted, got a 6 in Chemistry. I’m definitely doing A level Biology but I’ll give Chemistry a think!

Nice. Have you thought what you would be doing after A Levels? If your doing uni, do you know what sort of courses interest you?

I think so. Effective revision is one requirement to grow your grades. The rest is a good memory and an understanding for the basics.

In full honesty, I’m just totally clueless. I’m currently in Year 12 doing Biology, Psychology & French. I looked into Biomedicine for University & picked my options based on that as a few accept Psychology over Chemistry. However, my family is advising me to look into actual clinical medicine…and I know that, if I do go down that route, without Chemistry, I have narrowed down my options quite a lot. Not in any way making excuses for my chronic procrastination lol but I had quite a disadvantage during GCSEs as my Chemistry teacher was just awful & unorganized, which meant I was literally learning basic content during my cramming rather than “revising”. I’m in a dilemma about whether I should do Chemistry instead of Psychology or not as I’m unsure if I’ll be able to achieve a high grade…How do people have all of this figure out already? I feel so behind haha
