Psychology at uni subject requirements

Hi, I'm a year 12 student that wants to take Psychology at probably the most prestigous unis for it, Bath, LSE, Cardiff, Bristol, York are my choices as of now.
I do Psychology, Sociology and Art, which means I am lacking in 2 scientific subjects aswell as doing a "non preferred" subject for many unis. I am however predicted and working at A*A*A* with a predicted A* in EPQ, and have done wider reading around psychology my entire life. The unis stated tend to say "at least one" science (which includes psychology), so I was wondering what the likelihood I will actually get an offer from any of my unis is considering my subject choice.

Surely "at least one" means just that. If they wanted two they would say so.

Check what they mean by 'science' subject - many Unis will include 'science or maths related' subjects like Geography, Psychology, Economics etc. If it isnt clear on the course page on the Unis website, just email or phone and ask - they won't mind.

Hi,

Psychology student at Cardiff Uni here! I took your exact A-Levels as well actually haha. Just to let you know that Cardiff usually doesn't have specific requirements for science a levels (as of 2025 entry), and currently offer the chance to get a lower grade offer if you get an A in EPQ.

In terms of other universities, other comments have said some really smart suggestions. It's probably important to double check entry requirements as a "science" A-Level sometimes includes psychology, and sometimes doesn't.

But otherwise, happy to answer any questions you had about Cardiff.
