What happens on results day for IB students?

Hi I have applied to Lancaster, my firm, and Plymouth, insurance, and was wondering what happens on IB results day as it is significantly earlier than A-level results day (July 6th). I know if I meet the conditional offer I will be accepted or if I'm very off I'll be rejected but what if I am only off by a little? How does it work? I assume I am off by a lot and hopefully I have reached my insurance choice but I don't know.

From what I heard, they will put your offer on hold until the A-level result day if it's off by a little to be able to first see how many people missed their offer. If many people missed their A-level/IB offer, then they might still accept you, but if not, then they will reject you.

It varies from uni to uni, but typically:

If you are significantly below your offer, you may receive a rejection straight away

If you are slightly below your offer, you might either be accepted OR put on hold until AL results day
