URGENT- need to submit my ucas choices Today

Hi
Ive had offers to study civil engineering at Leeds, Bath and Bristol. A couple things to note:
entry requirements:
Leeds: AAA
Bath: A*AA (in any subjects)
Bristol: A*AA (* has to be in maths or physics).
I am also taking a gap year so the option of reapplying is there

Im not too optimistic in getting an A* in maths or physics so I think off the bat its probably not worth putting it down Bristol- however since I am taking a gap year, part of me is thinking to just put it down and see what happens- if I dont get in I can just reapply.

Bath and Leeds are definitely more focused on the combination of architecture and engineering which I really like as I do want to go down that route, Bristol is more focused on engineering with the other engineering disciplines which I am not sure I am too keen on.

However Bristol is technically the best ranked out of all of them so I am naturally swayed by that (ik i shouldnt)

In terms of city, I loved the look of Leeds it was probably my favourite-nightlife and activites looked really great over there/.
Bath seems to be definitely more relaxed but people have said its only a trains ride away from Bristol so I shouldn't be put off by that.
I really liked bristol aswell though.

So as I come to the end of this post it seems maybe Leeds or Bath is the way to go:
Bath is higher ranked , but Leeds looked really quite fun which tbh if im spending 4 years on a course which is gonna be tough may aswell enjoy it if i can?

Do any of these course give you a placement option - this adds enormously to your graduate CV.

Ignore rankings - they are essentially marketing nonsense, and can never tell you if you will like being at that Uni or enjoy the course.

Did you go to any of the Open Days, have you visited any of these Unis?
What did you like about the Uni / the course?

Just like you I was swayed by the “Russell group” title and the high international ranking but the placement opportunities at bath the campus the engineering teams just made me want to attend bath more in comparison to bristol
I’d firm Bath and insure Leeds. Bristol has good night life however it’s a 10 minute train ride from Bath, so you also have the balance of the chilled mellow life and the bustling busy night life from Bristol.

Don’t be swayed just because of a rank as they are all very highly respected, and ranks are not overly relevant as all these universities are the same league. It would be different if it was Oxford, being a very highly regarded university, or somewhere with very low ranks in comparison. But all of your options are on the same tier, so whichever you choose they’re all incredibly respectable universities.

Yeah, I mean I dont think that Russel group doesn't really mean much anymore I feel, Bath has achieved a very good reputation without it, and with a good placement I think that'll be enough to stand out from the competition?

I’m sure bristol has a decent placement scheme i think it lies where and what you do with it for example I know bath always try to make sure you’re actually contributing to the company not just sitting there running errands .
