Oxford admissions mentor

Hii.
My school isn’t amazing with helping students in admissions to Oxbridge. Our oxbridge ‘mentor’ himself told me I probably need to find a private mentor.
Does anyone know of an admissions mentor who is good at helping students get into Oxford?
I’m applying for Experimental Psychology.
Thanks!

i got in for ppe this year but i didn't have a mentor or anything like that - i know that ep uses the tsa as the entrance test too which is just not very difficult to prepare for since the difficulty is just timing and exam technique (so do the past papers and practice) whilst the actual qs themselves are not that hard
i would also imagine that ep is not asking anything massively technical at interview? you could try signing up to zero gravity to see if you can get a mentor who does ep/psych at oxford and also sign up to the oxbridge launchpad if you really feel that you need the extra support

Thank you for the advice. I will have a look at those.
Actually, it’s the TSA that worries me. I’ve done 3 past papers so far (I aim to do them all, but I only started just after exams finished) and in all of them I’ve scored just above 60 converted score, and I know I probably need at least 70 to be fairly secure on getting an interview. All 3 of those I did in non-timed conditions since I’m waiting to hear if I’ll get extra time.
So yeah, it’s the TSA that’s stressing me and my school specifically said they wouldn’t help me with it. I’m not sure they’re very good at helping write personal statements for Oxbridge either, so I do think I need to find someone.
Thank you though and congrats on your admission!

your personal statement probably won't matter that much - i wouldn't worry unless you're also thinking of applying to lse or st andrews (maybe ucl?) where ps seems very important

If you’re eligible for Zero Gravity, that is a good way to get a free mentor for uni admissions, who will meet with you regularly via video call and can help you with the application process. If you have any questions re EP applications at Oxford feel free to message me here, I graduated last year!

One thing I will say though is that you don’t really need a mentor to get into Oxford, it can help to be able to talk to someone who knows what they’re on about but equally most of the info is freely available online. So I would not suggest paying for application support if that might be in any way financially burdensome to you, I don’t think it’s worth it.
