Need advice! Is it pointless to pick a firm and insurance of the same requirements?

Need advice urgently!! Is it 100% pointless to pick a firm and insurance of the same grades? If i don’t make the offer by a grade is there any chance either would consider me ?

If you get the grades, you get the firm on results day. Your insurance will disappear.

I understand that. basically my firm choice is AAA, the insurance im thinking of (since it’s my lowest offer) is AAB - including A in english. The uni i want to go to more than my insurance but less than my firm is also AAA. So basically I NEED and A in English for all of em. - Should I just go with AAA firm and AAB insurance right? Thanks !
