Exeter Medical Science Bsc admissions

Hi, does anybody know how exactly Exeter choose people for their medical science course. At the open day they stated they don't look at personal statements just grades, but surely people will mostly have the same grades so how do they pick? I am also hoping to apply for a contextual offer as well. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi

Thank you for you interest in our Medical Science degree. Please note that this course is not available for 2025 as we will then have the BSc Biomedical Sciences degree to replace it. https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/medicalsci/biomedical/

The new course will It will retain all the high quality, core teaching values of the former programme but will adapt some of the modules to simplify the course pathways and allow more flexibility for students.

You can follow up on the information you were provided at the open day about "How we assess your application" on this webpage. https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/applying/afteryouapply/. This page outlines the tiering system to group applicant's by their grades and also advises how personal statements may be referred to in addition to this.

I do hope this helps with your research into courses at The University of Exeter.
