how to apply for extenuating circumstances

I'm currently doing a-level exams and know I will fail. I haven't yet to be diagnosed but I know I definitely have had it for a year, and my mental health took a toll on my learning and I regret not getting help earlier. IF I want to resit my exams, and apply to medicine under extenuating circumstances, do I have to get evidence during exams? I don't think there's enough time to get diagnosed by a GP yet. I was wondering if I can get diagnosed after exams and use that as my evidence. Please help thanks

extenuating circumstances is usually 5% added to overall grade so if your getting U's or E's its not gonna help much. But in order to do this you need to provide medical evidence to your school who submit it on your behalf. It must be done August (up to one month of last exam).

so do all unis ignore grades achieved at alevel, and focus towards predicted grades and references given if there was an extenuating circumstance if you were to reapply? Because I thought that's how it worked.

not that I am aware of. if you have a firm you need to get the grades to be guaranteed a placement. Otherwise it just depends on what A level grades you got and how full the course is. Unis take into account GCSEs and A level grades unless you have a 2:1 in a degree which I believe trumps A level results.

they take them into account but they go off the new predicted grades and actual grades that you achieve.
