Choosing Which University

I have offers for Biosciences at Durham and Sheffield. Weirdly my offer from Durham is lower grades than my Sheffield one so if i put both down, Durham would be my insurance. I'm struggling to choose which one to firm, I love Durham but its very expensive for cost of living and I'm worried about fitting in with the "posh" scene. I really liked Sheffield too as it seems like fun and great for student life but I like Durham's course slightly better and I know Durham is more prestigious.

Hi! Congrats on your offers. It is usually recommend that you put the uni with the higher grades as your firm and the uni with the lower grades as insurance. However, if you do achieve the grades you need for both you cannot decline your firm choice and go with your insurance. Durham is defo more prestigious and a higher ranked uni, but sheffield is still very well respected as a russel group uni. I would say its personal choice not about the grades. Perhaps you could do durham as your firm and choose another uni as insurance? Hope this helps.
