dr challoners boys vs dr challoners girls??

hello!!
i am planning to move to either dcgs (mixed sixth form) or dchs (girls) for sixth form. many of my friends and classmates who got into both schools are planning to go to the boys school because their grades are better but ive also heard that the girls school has less bullying and has more university application support groups.

i've only had a chance to speak to people from the girls school and i'd love to hear what school is like in either/both of the schools

thank you!!

You need to know which you are likely to be accepted for - do you live near these schools?

Why do you think it isn't? Far better facilities than the Challoners.

hiii! i go to dchs and i'll be starting yr13 soon. i highly recommend dchs, they are extremely supportive and welcoming. i too was an external student, but i feel like i've been here for years! i can't exactly speak about dcgs, since i've not been there, but i have heard some very questionable stories about their mixed sixth form. sorry if this response is too late, lmk if you have any other qs!

nothing crazy, but just the usual when there are very little girls and lots of boys (bear in mind most of them haven't been in a mixed class for years). you are right in the sense that it is very boy heavy - but if you think you would thrive/work well then defo go for it! do you go to a mixed school atm? some girls i've spoken to have said that at first the boys were hard to engage with (stuggling to adjust ig), but they got used to it soon. regardless, both dcgs and dchs are good schools in terms of academics. if you still need help deciding between the two pls lmk! (i do physics, chemistry, maths and a compulsory epq btw x)

(to be clear i don't currently go there) but my friends there say they don't have any issues! i wouldn't think there would be any mistreating, so i'm sure you'll be fine. it's just different at first for the boys who have been in an all boys school for years, and then suddenly having girls in their classes.

hi everyone! just an update - i actually come from an independent school and i ended up staying there for sixth form lol as i had the grades and they offered me a bursary. to anyone who's applying to either dchs or dcgs, i had lots of friends go to both and both schools are very loved. ive heard that dchs has a lot of extracurricular and cocurricular, and at dcgs, despite being surrounded by guys all the time, they aren't rude.

hiii!any chance you know abt the grades requirements for sixth from entry for dchs?as I know from their official website the minimum grade was 48 points in the top8 subjects but clearly it can’t be that easy since lots and lots of people apply to them every year.so,,,any chance you know what kind of minimum grades you have to get to be considered?or any reference ?xx
