RS GCSE 4marker- is this reason okay?

Could say in response to a 4 marker, (Being, Why is redemption important for Catholics) that redemption encourages us to live a good life on earth, as we want to be able to get into heaven? obviously I would extend on that, and I'm fine with another reason- I was just checking if that would sound ok!!

thank youu <3

I think it’s not that it encourages you to live a good life to get into heaven but more that it allows for hope in as much as you can be saved, that whatever your past sins, it is never too late if you truly regret your actions and make an effort to change.

By definition redemption is the action of regaining possession of something in exchange for something, in this case a clean slate and pardon in exchange for an acknowledgment of sin and a true desire to change.
