Fast track a levels??? Russell group unis???

So in September 24 I want to apply ucas (I’m currently in second yr of college) I’m still deciding between different courses and stuff but I was thinking of applying for accounting and finance. Would unis allow me to uni with like 1 full a level and 2 fast track a levels I was thinking of doing economics and something like business etc… (I’m currently doing a level maths and I doing double applied science atm). Also idk if my GCSEs stats are great for top unis:

6 (maths, fm, geo)
5 (DA science, English, literature)
4 (Spanish, RS)

I want to apply to 2-3 Russell group like Edinburgh, Bristol and QUB. I was also thinking like lecister and Newcastle. I’m aware all unis can be competitive but would I stand an chance

Hey, im in kinda a similar situation as you? I'm in year 13 doing A-Levels in 4 subjects including Welsh Bacc (like the epq) and i decided at the start of year 13 i wanted to do Medicine, but the issue was i didn't do chemistry so i will be doing fast-track chemistry a level in my Gap Year. I emailed over 12 unis asking about my situation and all of them said it was perfectly acceptable. So i dont see any issue with what you're doing. Fast-track alevels = alevels, so i dont see how they would look at them differently. If anything, doing fast-track alevels shows that you are dedicated to do whatever you're applying for and went out the way to go though fast track alevels.

Thanks so much that gave me a sense of ease

have you found any places online that do fast track a levels or are you doing them at your college? i might end up in a situation where my only choice is to do fast track a levels and it's super hard to find any info online

There are a lot of places online, just search for fast track a-levels and loads of companies come up. I can only find ones for AQA tho.

You pretty much learn the content yourself using textbooks etc, then book the exams at test centers. I'm not sure about the range of subjects, i know you can do the sciences and maths for sure, but i dont see why the others are not available. If you're worried about predicted grades for uni, they will usually look at achieved ones and consider that your prediction *i think*.

Hello i'm in the same exact situation as you even down to the welshbacc lol i thought that it was a message i sent until i looked at the name although i have managed to find a college that takes me i'm wondering how are you going about getting predicted grades? Bristol is my first choice and they need you to have a predicted A grade for medicine but if i'm doing a fast track course I won't be able to provide them with a reference that shows any evidence that I can achieve an A do you think it could be worth going to college but getting a reference via an online learning college or what are you thinking of doing instead?

I managed to apply this cycle and get 4/4 interviews (although not too confident they will turn to offers, interviews were horrid). What I did was applied with the sixth form I went too for a-levels then applied to an online college who provided the predicted grade for my chemistry. I'm not really too sure how it worked behind the scenes, but I just gave the Online college the contact of my Head of sixthform (who managed my reference etc) and it was put through on their side.
