Aberdeen widening access for medicine

I’m part of reach for Aberdeen which lowers the entry requirements from 4As 1B to 3As 2Bs (Scottish highers) at Aberdeen. However I’m worried that I’ve only gotten AABBB. If I got a high score on my UCAT 2800+ will they still consider me or because I didn’t meet the academic requirements will I just be brushed past and not considered at all.

If you do not meet minimum requirements, you will be rejected, that is why they are minimum requirements

Update! I’ve been offered a conditional
Offer, 2 Bs in my AHs (Bio + Chem). So grateful

hey im wondering how does reach work, ima t the end of s5 and im eligible for the programme but i dont know if im too late

You can be a part of reach in s6 but I’d apply now !! It’s way more helpful before sending away your application

Hi firstly congratulations on your offer!! iv got the exact same grades as you and really upset as i thought i couldnt get into medicine anymore. If you dont mind me asking how did you manage to get in when your grades dont meet the minimum entry requirements. I am desperate for some advice as i just got my results yesterday and absolutely devestated i cant do medicine.
