Is it easy to manage cooking while doing law at KCL?

Just wanted to know how existing students manage their schedules. Do you guys do a lot of meal prep in advance or is it day-by-day cooking?

not a law student but a second-year KCL student (biomedical science lol) with a part-time job I do pretty much every evening so hopefully still qualified to answer this! personally I do day-by-day cooking since I already have most of my meals twice in a row and I'm just not really a meal prep kind of person. It usually takes 10-30 minutes depending on what it is, and I only cook at dinner so it doesn't take much out of my day - I tend to prep my lunch in the morning when I'm grabbing breakfast or the night before depending on space in my fridge lol. Depending on when my lectures finish, I usually get back to my flat at 5 or 6 o'clock at the latest and then cook before I start work at 7, so it's definitely feasible! I had a flatmate last year who was on PPL so a similar workload to law, and she was a mix of both really - she tended to cook at the same time as me, and sometimes she'd cook from scratch and other times she'd have leftovers from whatever she'd made the day before or something. So I'd say it's pretty manageable

I found this really helpful as a prospective student for this year's entry, and for ppe💫🔵
I was just wondering thooo how long is your work if you don't mind me asking? I'm just thinking of what time you get back to accomm to sleepp lol, since you start at 7 and it'll be a few hours or so

ahh that's on me for not clarifying -- I work a remote job as a freelance transcriber so I'm based out of my flat lol, but I typically finish somewhere between 10 and midnight

If you don't mind me asking, how were you able to find such a job? Through uni or somewhere else

Sure! I think I ended up finding it through one of the job websites, you can usually filter the search for freelance and/or remote jobs. It took a good few months of searching though 😅
