Hello there, I would recommend speaking to our current students here at Sheffield Hallam University about the processes of applying for a postgraduate course! (Chat to students | Sheffield Hallam University (shu.ac.uk), also please check out this webpage here (Apply for a postgraduate degree | Sheffield Hallam University (shu.ac.uk)).
You can apply for most taught postgraduate courses directly from the course page. Just find the course you want to apply for and select 'Apply now'.
If this is your first application, you will need to create an account. You can then save your progress and come back to the form later if you need to.

When to apply
Applicants from the UK can apply at any time. There are no deadlines for masters courses, but courses do fill up, so you might have to wait for the next entry.
For international applicants, applications usually close in May. The next deadline for postgraduate courses is 31 May 2024. Other key dates for international applicants starting a postgraduate course in September 2024:

Deposit deadline 19 July 2024

Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) deadline 2 August 2024

Applications for January 2025 postgraduate courses are now open to international applicants.
Applications for September 2024 postgraduate courses will be open to all international applicants from 29 January 2024.
Getting an offer
If your application is successful, we will make one of two kinds of offer.

Unconditional: Your place is already confirmed, and you don't need to meet any conditions.

Conditional: You will need to meet certain conditions before we confirm your place.

When your place is confirmed, you're all set to start your masters. We'll send you details about what happens when you start and what you need to do next.
Other postgraduate courses
We offer a wide range of postgraduate courses, including apprenticeships, research degrees and continuous professional development.
Each of these course types has its own application process. You can find more information on the pages below.
