I am currently residing in Pakistan and am interested in applying to teach physics at the secondary level. My UKENIC comparable degree is a Bachelor's honors degree, and my GCSE comparability is equivalent to a Higher Secondary School Certificate, Scottish National 5, or Intermediate Welsh.

I believe I now need to complete my English GCSE and IELTS tests to meet the entry requirements. Could you please advise which IGCSE English course would fulfill the university's requirements?

I hope you're okay!

I am not too sure about what you'll need to ensure you meet the requirements.

However, if you haven't already, contact the PGCE provider (this might be a university) and ask them about their entry requirements. The International admissions team should be able to support you.

You can also try to get in contact with an adviser at Get Into Teaching. Click here for more information. There are so many different routes into teaching, including a wide range of PGCEs, so if you want to find out more about these options, this is a great website.

I hope you are well.

We do offer PGCE Secondary (Physics with Science) at Cardiff Met. You can find more information here: Courses PGCE Secondary Science (cardiffmet.ac.uk).

We ask for GCSE English and Mathematics at grades C or above or equivalent high school qualification; and a relevant degree in order to be considered for a place.

For international applicants, whose first language is not English, a minimum IELTS score of 7.5 overall with no sub score lower than 7.0 (or equivalent qualification) will be required for admission to the programme.
