Connecting to school when I no longer go there?

Hi, I'm currently setting up my UCAS account and I have a (probably silly) question. It asks if you want to connect to your school and to search for your school's name - if I already left the school (2 years ago) would I still connect or do I just skip it? I'm assuming I skip (and will for now) but wanted to double check just in case.

You wont be able to connect to the ‘centre’ your school, without the buzzword:

You would usually need to ask your school before linking your application to them. Many will let previous students do it, but you need to check.

Most schools will still be happy for you to link/connect to them. This has the advantages of a) picking-up any contextual offers linked to the school, b) they can check your PS etc, c) its easier for them to add your reference, and d) they can help with any problems along the way.

Most schools are still happy for ex-students to do this even if you left a few years ago - just give the 'UCAS person' or your Head of Sixth Form a call or drop them an email. They can then give you the current buzzword.

Ah okay, thank you! I'll try to find out who's in charge of that stuff at my former sixth form and send them an email!
